Jun 2009Blue Ridge, South Carolina706 133 times DIY Making a PVC Dredge NozzleI apologize the video is rather long, if you want just the how to part then skip to about 14:09. This video more tells some of the back story of testing the nozzle and a failed build. Rather then completely get skunked when the nozzle I was testing did not work (and after a long hike in), I just worked the sluice like a hibanker.
This nozzle is just a little something I wanted to make for a couple bedrock spots without having to spend a whole lot of money. I have since changed the dredge design somewhat but that will be for part 2. I know its not going to last like a steel one, but I really only need it to last a couple hours to clear some exposed bedrock. Also, I do think it will work for a back pack setup as well and plan to try that as well.
Sample till you find the hot spot, then mine it till its gone! Then start over...
