The damn snow drove me out of the hills. I was in the middle of a good run! We should start classifying mother nature as a damn terrorist!!

Whether you pay attention to the weather or not depends on how long you are going to be alive especially when it comes to cold and snow. Your location will still be there but I will admit it is discouraging to have Ma Nature kick you out of the hills, been there done that and I got out while I still could!!................63bkpkr

I could have survived, but with my remaining supplies, i would have ended up having to walk out of the canyon. I was fooled by the nice weather, and didnt have my normal month worth of supply. I suppose if it got bad i could have eatin Orijen dog food.
My location is claimed, so it better still be there! Lol!

Auto's too! The other day we were in the wife's Explorer and we were an hour into the trip and about 15 minutes to the site when the O/D light started flashing. We were very remote and the manual (and wife) said to play it safe and return home, which we did. Checked it out on the net, started it up, no lite, drove it 20 miles, no return of the light...no sign of ANY problem. All that and $4.25 per gallon of gas.Reply With Quote
