This is my fine gold recovery system. Thought this would be easier than using a 5 gallon bucket. As you can see I have a leveling system to level the center cone. I am using a Fossickers Gold Pan as a small sluice to capture any fine gold that I may lose while learning how to recover gold at different size concentrates. Yes the Fossicker gold pan is overkill but it can be removed easily and used as a pan if needed. The pump is an Atwood 1200 GPH. I removed the water valve at the inlet of the blue bowl and place the control valve at the pump. This allows the pumped water to enter the blue bowl at full stream. During a test run the pump will overflow the blue bowl. I was concern that the pump output being restricted to 1/2” outlet would not have enough flow. The Blue Bowl is easily leveled using the wing nuts. I also put a drain in the center of the pan to dump the recirculating water quickly so that new water can be added when needed.

If ya cant catch the fines with that setup ... ya never will.
Wow!! What a cool science project. Like Hefty said if that doesn't catch fine gold nothing will. Great job Viper.Reply With Quote Yesterday, 10:35 PM#4UDigIt Jan 201310 8 times All Types Of Treasure Hunting
Assume concept. Dude where do you come up with these ideas? I liked your Vac-Blower you built and now this gold recovery system is cool and compact. The pan used as a sluice is outstanding. Very neat setup and well thought out, I am going to copy your setup if it’s ok with you. Where did you get the fossicker pan from?Reply With Quote Yesterday, 10:40 PM#5vpnavy Fly Navy!Jun 2008Columbia County Pennsylvania571 82 times All Types Of Treasure Hunting

Before I get TOO old, I have to perfect my Blue Bowl technique. Got a working grasp but need to get better. TTC
A 5 minute response time is not an option when I must make a choice in about 5 seconds!Reply With Quote Today, 06:38 AM#7AzViper KeithSep 2012Tucson, ArizonaGold Bug Pro, Sun Ray Gold Pro Headphones, Crevice Vac, Royal Gold Drywasher, Blue Bowl-Fossickers Fine Gold Recovery System179 105 times Prospecting

You caught a glimpse of it last week but it?s done. All I need to do is add my 30, 50, 100 lines to the inside of the bowl. I believe today I will run the bowl if time permits. Somewhere I read that someone was using a 12 car battery charger to run the pump at home or maybe a car battery booster as a car battery charger typically will put out many more volts to charge the battery. Hoping someone comes along and says what they are using. I can build a 12 volt DC power supply.
