I've been doing some test panning of some material. I want to get some opinions on if I'm getting good or bad material. This material that I have been excavating is near a creek bed. I process the material and pan some of the material. Soon as I'm done panning with my test pan I just get black sand, sand, and a few flakes of gold. You think this will be a okay area to continue to dig to get pay dirt?Reply With Quote May 04, 2013 09:26 AM # ADSAds

Heres a tip for you, 1 grain of gold per 20 LBS of material is a little over 1/5 of an ounce per ton. Worth about $2.41 per grain with gold @ $1445.00 and 80% purity.pvillehunter and B H Prospector like this.
Everything is how rich the ground is, and how much can you move.
