Aug 20124 Looking for magazine article
I'm completely new to blogs and forums, so I don't know how things work. I have exhausted other means to find this article, so I'm asking for help to get it in front of as many people as possible, quickly. Here is what I'm looking for:
I?m working on a family tree and need help locating a treasure story. I read this story about a relative in about 1970 in a treasure hunting magazine. It may have been published at other times as well. The story was about two prospectors in California or Nevada that found a cavern (not kokoweef) with a stream, full of gold, running through it. They dynamited the entrance closed and one (my possible relative) of the prospectors was killed in the explosion. The other prospector recorded a claim and filed an assay in Reno (as best I can remember). I would like to find a copy of the article to confirm the prospector?s name and the story. If anyone knows of this story, I would appreciate a copy of it.

Some names would help, people, place, time frame.
I like to search, but I need a little more to go on.

Welcome to Treasure Net,
Several years ago we had an interesting thread on this subject; I think you'll enjoy it and perhaps find your answer.
If so, we'd like to hear where this takes you.
